by Matt Downs

Attendees will be issued with a digital GRO certificate of attendance and also qualify for GRO’s “Introduction to Green Roofs” certification on completion of the one-day course at Wildflower Turf’s Hampshire HQ.

GRO member Wildflower Turf is offering green roof training courses at its HQ in Hampshire.

These courses promise to be an entertaining and educational day out for anyone involved with designing, specifying, installing or maintaining biodiverse living roofs.

The day begins with a look at the history and benefits of living roofs and discusses market demand and the potential for expansion in this industry.

With the scene set, and brains engaged, the training continues with detailed design considerations and an in-depth look at green roof irrigation.

A practical session follows. You will be able to try your hand at creating a biodiverse roof using Wildflower Turf’s products and one of its purpose built green roof ‘rigs’.

Finally, there’s a chance to discuss some trouble shooting scenarios as a means of helping you avoid mistakes in your own work.

Throughout the day, you will be well fed and watered. Drinks and snacks are available throughout the day and you’ll be offered a hearty buffet lunch to keep those brain cells energized!

At the end of the course, you will be issued with a digital GRO certificate of attendance and also qualify for GRO’s “Introduction to Green Roofs” certification.
